Freehand, straight line, pin striping, is a declining art you must see to believe. The nicknames of these masters are as awesome as the craft itself --- Shakey Jake, Von Dutch, Don Q (pictured here). Back in the '70s and '80s this was a popular option offered by many Mercedes-Benz dealers. 'Til this day, Don Q is still striping cars for Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz in Irvine, California. His unbelievable commitment to this art is about 35 years in the making, which shows in his near perfection of the trade. I've been working on my own skills with the brush. Another 35 years or so and I ought to be pretty damn good!
